For parents

Ciao Bella is built around one idea: your child should be able to talk to the people who love them, and nobody else. Everything on this page is about the control that makes that true.

You choose every contact

Approved contacts are added by you in the parent app. Only those numbers can ring the phone, and only those numbers can be dialled from it. Anyone not on the list is blocked automatically — there is no way for an unknown number to get through, and no way for your child to add someone without you.

Quiet hours

Set the hours when the phone stays silent: dinner, homework, bedtime. It goes still until you let it back in. Emergency contacts still get through, and 000 always works.

Call history and blocked-call alerts

Every incoming call, outgoing call and blocked attempt appears in your parent app. You are not guessing about who has been trying to reach your child.

Voicemail

When your child misses a call from someone approved, that person can leave a message — so a call from Nanny on a Tuesday afternoon is not simply lost.

What Ciao Bella deliberately does not do

There is no screen, so there is nothing to watch or scroll. There is no internet browser and no app store on the device. There is no GPS and no location tracking. There is no camera and no messaging. It is a phone for talking, and that is the whole of it.

How it compares

A kids smartwatch is a wearable with a screen, a cellular plan and usually location tracking. A kids smartphone opens the door to the internet, social media, games and apps. Ciao Bella is a home phone: it stays on the bench, it has no plan to pay, and it connects your child to a short list of people you chose.
